We
are extremely excited to welcome you back to the 2013-2014 school year.
This will be a year of fun as well as tremendous academic growth for
your children. We have been very busy getting to know the routine, our
materials and our classroom. Kindergarten into first grade is a big
transition. We must say….your children are settling in well!!!
Lots
of BIG things happen in First Grade at St. Paul's Episcopal Day School
and the teachers are always excited to watch the change and growth your
child will experience this year.
We
are enjoying getting to know your children and we are excited for a
successful year in first grade! We will communicate with you through
email, our blog that comes out every Friday and with take home notes.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to email us.
Sincerely,
Your First Grade Teachers
Miss Fate & Mrs. Wyllie
REMINDERS:
Please make sure you have taken the backpack folder out of your
child's backpack and read all of the notes carefully. Return the pink
sheet back to school that tells us all about your child. If your child
has a reading log from books they read over the summer, please send it
with your child so we can recognize these students during chapel. If you
have lost the sheet you can just write the titles of the books on a
piece of paper and bring it to us. Last, if you still need to send in a
picture of your child please do this as soon as possible so we can get
it up on our bulletin board that is right outside our classroom.
Hello families! I wanted to take the chance to just let you
know how thrilled I am to be working with you and all of your wonderful
children. A little about myself- I grew up in Jefferson City and graduated from
William Jewell College in 2007 with a degree in Elementary Education. I have 5
years of experience in an urban charter school here in KC and am so happy to be
joining the St. Paul’s family.
I got married in 2010 and my husband and I live in Hyde Park
with our 2 dogs and cat. I love
teaching, traveling and enjoying the perks of KC. I look forward to getting to
know each of you better as the year goes on!

I have grown up in Kansas City my entire life and currently live in Prairie Village. The only time I left Kansas City was to
attend The University of Arizona for college. I was there for 2.5 years
and I ended up finishing my degree at The University of Kansas. Later on I went back to school and received my Masters in teaching from Avila University. I was so fortunate to get the opportunity to work at St. Paul's and I have been teaching first grade since 2007. This is my 7th year here!
In my free time I enjoy working out, Title Boxing, KU basketball games, and going to the pool. I also enjoy hanging out with friends and my family.
This summer has been a very exciting one for me. I got engaged to Casey Sansale. The wedding planning is off to a great start. I am getting married next summer @The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs. I also adopted a new puppy. His name is Cooper and he is a Lhasalier. Cooper is only 4mo. old and loves to play and cuddle. I admit it was very hard leaving him home at the end of the summer. Enough about me...I look forward to a great year with you and your children!
