THANK YOU FOR YOUR DONATIONS TO THE ST. PAUL'S PANTRY....THE KIDS LOVED DRESSING UP AND CONTRIBUTING FOR SPIRIT WEEK!

Guided with the Teachers we worked on our Australian Research over our Australian Animals...we are off to a great start!!!

TNT- (Try New Things) this week we reviewed different math concepts....we reviewed money by playing a difficult game of money bingo.  The children had to add up the different coin combinations on their bingo card to get the correct answer.  It was more challenging than they thought.  We also reviewed time this week by playing time bingo.  They had to find the correct clock on their bingo card that matched the correct time.
Math- We took our 3rd Quarter Math Assessment that covers all of the concepts we have learned about since the 2nd Quarter.  We will share both the 2nd Quarter & 3rd Quarter Math Assessments with you during conferences next week. We worked in our math theme pages.  We did a fun QR Scan Scavenger Hunt with Place Value Math with the iPads.

Social Studies- We learned all about the geography of Australia, The Sydney Harbour Bridge, The Sydney Opera House, the weather, Koalas and more! We made lizards with Aboriginal art & symbols on them.We also learned all about the Aborigines.

Hands on Science: We did an experiment on growing coral.  This goes along with The Great Barrier Reef and Coral Reef that we have been learning about in class.

Computer Lab:www.learningforkids.com  We let the children have a free choice day on that site because there are so many different educational games on there.  Some of the ones they enjoyed were: Math Man, Painting Animals & Math Lines 10.
