The Important Thing About First Grade

This week in first grade, we wrote books about 1st grade based off of The Important Book.  Here are some of my favorite excerpts:

The important thing about 1st grade is that we are a team.

We are kind to each other.

We make new friends.

We love to be together,

but we learn it is okay to say goodbye for awhile.

We work hard...

And play hard.

We read A LOT.

We fill each other's buckets.

We fall down,

but we always try again.

We help other people.

We love to learn.  

But the important thing about 1st grade is that we are a team!!!

Thank you for an INCREDIBLE year!!  We cannot express enough how proud we are of your children.  Thank you for sharing them with us this year.  WE WILL MISS YOU!!!!
