In writing this week we worked on creating 5 page books. We are learning there is a process to writing and in order to start a story the writer must first organize his/her thoughts. So, we made a web of ideas with the main idea "a happy time". Once all the important ideas were listed then the story was created. Next week, we will get the chance to sit in the author's chair and share our wonderful published stories.

FEBRUARY 2012 SPIRIT SPREE
Lower School/ECC CHILDHOOD DIVISIONS
During the last week of February and first week of March, St. Paul’s Student Council is sponsoring a school wide Spirit Spree (also called the Extreme Spirit Challenge in the Middle School). This is a time when we celebrate our spirit of sportsmanship as we support St. Paul’s athletes in basketball tournaments. We also recall our commitment to service in the community as we collect items for the St. Paul’s food pantry. Please join us for the fun and be a “helping hand” to people in need.
Feb. 21-Mar. 2 Food Drive (We are not counting points for lower school and ECC students)
Tues. Feb. 28 Sports Fan Day (Bring an item for the food pantry and wear your favorite sports’ team attire)
Thurs. Mar. 1 Western Wear Day (Bring an item for the food pantry and dress in western wear. No guns please.)
Fri. Mar. 2 Let’s finish the week BIG by wearing your St. Paul’s clothing and bringing in items for the pantry.
Don’t forget to bring in your Box Tops and to support St. Paul’s 5th-8th graders in their league basketball tournaments.
