On Tuesday the students got to estimate how many bites it would take them to eat their polar ice cream bar. They had a blast! They also continue to learn about the moon bear and the sun bear this week. We are coming close to the end of our polar bear theme. They are so excited for the TEDDY BEAR PICNIC!

We have also started talking about the election. We visited www.discoveryeducation.com this week to view the video: HAIL TO THE CHIEF. The children learned about the basics of an election, the different political parties and how important it is to vote! More to come next week....
In math this week we are working in our theme notebooks to complete some teddy bear math. We also continue to review subtraction. The students got to draw two cards from a deck, then they had to place them in the right order (the larger number always comes first). They did really well creating their subtraction equations.
