Our Amazing Famous Americans!

HOORAY FOR THE U.S.A.!

We cannot thank you enough for the hard work you have done over the past month to help us prepare for this amazing production! This week's blog is full of pictures of our famous Americans! Of course, we have still been hard at work learning in first grade. We have introduced time in Math this week and we continue to listen to your children read to see exactly how much they have grown since the start of the year. Most of all; we have been busy practicing to get ready for the big performance. Your children are amazing. They have learned so much and been so happy while doing it. This is why we are teachers! No kidding, it has been like Christmas here in first grade at St. Paul's. Several students have told us how excited they are for the big performance. We could not do it without our parents. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Hopefully you got many great pictures too!

Different ways we are learning about time:

The students work in pairs to show the correct time on our commons clock!

Once the time is shown, they write it digitally on their dry erase board and ...

....show it on their very own clock!

SPELLING:
This week your children will need to know how to spell their first & last name, address and the best phone number to reach you in case of an emergency. We will be sending home a packet to help them practice. GOOD LUCK!
