With
our short week we decided to change things up a bit in language arts
and forgo the tic tac toe boards. So, we worked in 3 small groups on
various skills. Our focus was on the short "o"

spooky Halloween stories. We're looking forward to sharing them with
you at conferences!

Jake and Griffin classified nouns.
Elianna working on short "o" words in her phonics book.
We learned the writing process while writing our Halloween stories: Brainstorm, 1st draft, edit, illustrate, publish.
Using adjectives to describe our bears.
In math we reviewed various skills such as tallies, even/odd, missing addends, doubles and counting by 2s, 5s, and 10s while playing human tic tac toe. We also did some "bear logic" with word problem solving.
